This one-day course will introduce you to the fundamentals of fabrication and welding using two welding processes - MMA and MIG welding. These two welding processes have different set-up costs and skill levels and trying both will help you decide which welding process suits you best. The day includes welding tuition, practice sessions, material preparation, cutting and metal finishing techniques. All foundational skills for making 3D products and objects from metal.

Over the day you will receive; 1-2-1 tuition in MMA and MIG welding, learn about preparing material for welding using an angle grinder and about the correct use of workshop machinery and hand tools for cutting metal.

We will cover the specific skills required to make 3D Objects from metal. Looking at at use of technical drawings in welding. Then applying your new skills to construct a small metal frame, (a Plant Stand) welding it together using a welding process (MMA or MIG) of your choice.

This course is perfect for anyone curious about exploring different welding processes or for aspiring fabricators, DIY learners looking to weld their own 3D projects together. The skills are completely transferable to most metalwork projects.
