Welding Class: The Plant Stand
This one-day course will introduce you to the fundamentals of fabrication and welding using MMA and MIG welding processes. These Welding methods are some of the most common and accessible forms of welding metal together. The day includes welding tuition and practice, material preparation, cutting and metal finishing techniques. All fundamental skills for making 3D products and objects from metal.
Over the day you will receive; 1-2-1 tuition in MMA and MIG welding, learn about preparing material for welding using an angle grinder and about the correct use of workshop machinery and hand tools for cutting metal.
We will cover the specific skills required to make 3D Objects from metal. Looking at at use of technical drawings in welding. Then applying your new skills to construct a small Plant Stand welding it together using a welding process (MMA or MIG) of your choice.
This course is perfect for anyone keen learn about basic of MMA & MIG welding, Fabrication or DIY learners looking to weld their own 3D projects together. The skills are completely transferable to most metalwork projects.

The day will be led by Richard Evans, an experienced metal fabricator and designer. All materials required for this course are included in the price.
