Yes. Learning to weld takes practice, but you can absolutely develop your skills at home.
Our beginner-focused approach concentrates on the areas new welders typically struggle with. Follow the course syllabus, practise the techniques and start building our beginner projects to gradually develop solid welding and fabrication skills.
As a member you can take advantage of our innovative technology which uses AI and computer vision to give you access to your own personal welding coach.

The Virtual Welding Coach is available with Academy Membership and provides additional support while you practise. You can ask welding questions and upload photographs of your welds to receive feedback on what you could work on next.

You don't need a workshop full of expensive tools to start welding. At a minimum, you'll need a welder, suitable PPE, an angle grinder and some basic consumables.
If you're not sure what to buy, we've put together a recommended equipment list to help you choose suitable beginner-friendly equipment. We can also provide recommendations and access to discount codes on selected equipment.
One of the great things about learning to weld is that you can get started with a relatively small amount of equipment and add to your setup as your skills and projects develop.
