1-2-1 Tuition in Welding Skills
The Weld Space understands that the group course format might not be right for everyone. Whether you are time pressured or after more bespoke advice to develop your knowledge, skills and experience around welding. For the reason, we can offer bespoke welding lessons on a 1-2-1 basis for customers.
Our private welding lessons are designed for you to explore the different welding processes in more detail. The 1-2-1 session can cover your chosen welding process be that MMA (Arc), MIG and TIG Welding or all three.
During the lesson we can cover topics of your choosing from welding thin material to thick or welding aluminum and stainless steel. We will explore how the machines are set up and simple fixes to resolve issues on the go.
The bespoke welding lesson format is suitable for people with some welding experience who are developing an interest in welding and fabrication. You might be a DIY enthusiast wanted to perfect some skills or looking at exploring a career in welding. The session will also cover the safe use of angle grinders as they are en essential part when working with and finishing Metal.
Being part of this session qualifies you for our Book a Bench Hire scheme. So you can come back and practise or make your own product
The lesson will be led by Richard Evans, founder of The Weld Space, an experienced metal fabricator and designer. All materials, equipment and PPE required for this course are included in the price.
Welding is a vast area of knowledge. To help you get the most from your 1-2-1 lesson, you will receive access to either MIG, TIG or MMA Welding Online Skills Course (£27 extra) this is included with your booking.
You'll receive lifetime access to the course before your lesson, allowing you to build a foundation of knowledge through videos and tutorials. By covering some of the theory in advance, you'll be able to spend more time focusing on practical skills and get greater value from your one-to-one tuition
Skills you'll learn: Specific to your chosen discipline. Cover safe angle grinder use, general fabrication and finishing techniques.
Course Length: Minimum 3hours booking
Cost: £60 per hour. (Minimum 3 hours) £27.00 additionally for Lifetime Online Learning.
Availability: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays are best.

Sometimes their is some flexibility and want to make sure you can attend your course. We will always do our best to accommodate any unforeseen changes.

Unfortunately, Alma Yard doesn’t have on site parking at the moment and the parking restrictions don’t allow you to park outside. There is pay and display parking at the Lockyers Quay or Barbican Harbour Car Park.

I want to practise more?
For past course attendees we can make a welding bench available for you. You can hire a bench for half a day or a full day and make use of some of the machinery we have. Richard will be around to help through-out the day. Book a Bench Here.
