Two Day Welding Course
Learn about MMA, MIG and TIG Welding processes
Learn the three core welding processes before putting your new skills into practice by building a larger more ambitious project of your own.
This two-day, hands-on course introduces you to three of the main welding processes — MIG, TIG and MMA — alongside a deeper dive into fabrication skills needed to prepare, cut, assemble, weld and finish your own metal project.
What to expect
Get hands-on experience with MIG, TIG and MMA welding, learning the basic techniques involved with each process and understanding their different uses, skill levels and equipment requirements.
You'll then take those welding skills into practical fabrication, learning how metal is measured, prepared, cut, assembled and finished to create your own 3D project.
What you’ll learn?
During this 2 day course, you'll learn the basic techniques required to set up and weld with MIG, TIG and MMA, giving you the opportunity to experience each process for yourself and understand their differences, costs and complexities.
You'll practise welding mild steel and learn the basic metal joinery techniques used when making projects of your own from metal.
You'll also develop wider fabrication skills, including marking out, measuring, cutting and preparing material, using hand tools, workshop machinery and angle grinders.
By bringing these skills together, you'll gain an understanding of the complete fabrication process — from technical drawing and material preparation through to assembly, welding and finishing.
Day one focuses on introducing the different welding processes and developing your technique through practice.
Day two brings those skills together as you fabricate and weld your your own metal chair -which you can take away.
